Leafing Through

Hello world!

Everybody was kung-fu knitting

Knit
I completed my first knitting project today. Don’t ask me when I started. I can’t recall that far back. Can you believe it’s not pink!? It was a practice run. I’ll save pink for next time.

Besides being constructive, knitting is a pretty decent TV-watching side-activity. I rank it after Su-Do-Ku, but before reading. It’s easy, repetitive, and gives you something to keep yourself occupied. So lately I’ve been watching a Chinese kung-fu serial. The honest-to-goodness-kung-fu, flying, explosions conjured up from the depths of your… palms, and a lot of serious sword-fighting. I get so hooked on this stuff because every few minutes, someone is fighting someone about something and it’s very serious. Then someone decides they didn’t like the outcome of the fight and now they want revenge. Grrr… there’s a lot of aiee and arrr and augh going on. And rest assured, someone wants to try and take over the world, keeps the plot moving forward. Also, in these kung-fu shows, don’t believe it if someone “dies” unless you see their body and it’s really dead dead. Otherwise, s/he probably went into hiding so s/he can plot to take over the world another day. Sounds like Pinky & The Brain doesn’t it? That’s why I like it. There’s a lot of mystery and intrigue. Highly intellectual stuff.
